IF function on data validation list?

Hi,

I'm sure this is probably pretty simple, but I was wondering if there was a way to add the IF function to a data validation list?

Exactly what I wanted it to do was if one cell is blank that the cell with the list would not show it's drop down.

For example if C2 holds a drop down list from $D$3;$D$4 if B2 is blank I want the list to not be visible.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Please try Data validation List source =IF(B2="",B2,D3:D4).

(Also tested in MS-office 365 and it works.)

BOTH options seem to work. If you find there's a problem with the lastest offering... don't tell us... show us and post a sample Excel sheet SHOWING the problem.
