Moving cursor from end row cell to first cell in next row.

    Hi,

I'm new to Excel so having problems trying to work things out, i guess they are very trivial but i can't figure it out.

I've managed to get the cursor to move from one cell to the next in a row after hitting enter but i can't figure out how to move the cursor from the end cell in a row to the first cell in the next rows when hitting enter, when i hit enter at the moment the cursor is moving to the end cell below it.

When you wish to move across cells to the right, press Tab instead of Enter. When you get to the last cell, press Enter and it will return the way you want.

It's not working that way for me at the moment, pressing the tab button just moves the cursor one space in the same cell where as pressing enter does
move the cursor to the next cell but when i get to the last cell and press enter it does nothing, i want it to go back to the first cell in the next row
    when press enter.

Its ok, i think i've done it, TAB key moves to next cell, when i got to last cell and pressed enter it moved to the cell directly below it, i changed
the setting ' When you hit 'Enter' move direction to 'Down' which i would of thought moved it directly below but it seems to be moving to the first cell
in the next row now so all is ok.

Not worked, it was going to the first cell in the next row when you hit enter but now its gone back to moving to the cell directly below when you hit
enter. Does anyone know what the setting is to make the enter key move the cursor from the last cell to the first cell in the next row. I can't work it
out, the direction settings are 'UP', 'DOWN', 'LEFT' and 'RIGHT', why isn't there a setting for this in that box, i would of thought it obvious that
when inputting numbers into a table that when you input the last number in to the last cell you would want to start at the first cell in the next row.
The weird thing is i had it set to down and it was going to the first cell but now its moving directly to the last cell in the next row. I've been through
all the options/settings and cannot find any setting to make it do this.

When you enter data hit the tab key to move next cell to the right.
After your last bit of data, still hit the tab key.
Enter will then take you to the next row, first column.

Ok thanks, it appears to be fine now. It might have been because i was moving cells with the right arrow key instead of the tab key, if i use the tab key
on the last cell and hit enter it does go to first cell next row but when using the right arrow key in the last cell and hitting enter it drops to the
last cell next row. So trivial.

Yep. Everything's trivial once you know the answer.
