    Trace Precedents not working

    Hi Excel wizards,

I'm having a rather confusing problem that I've been try to solve for a few days now. There is a few formulae, an example of one of which is ='Conversion Ratesvvv'!BY11. However, I don't know where/what 'Conversion Ratesvvv' is? When I click trace precedents, it gives me a black arrow. However, when I click on the arrow, it tells me this is from a location with the same name as my current workbook (even if I save under different names, this always changes to the workbook I am currently using). Hopefully the attachments below work (this is my first post!) and you can see the problem for yourself! I have cut off the name of the sheet, but it is the same as the one I am in.

I have tried searching for Conversion Ratevvv in formula, but i can only find other cells that use it.

    Many thanks in advance!

'Conversion Ratesvvv' is a worksheet name. If you display the tabs, you should be able to see it.

='Conversion Ratesvvv'!BY11 is cell B11 on worksheet 'Conversion Ratesvvv'. The equals sign ( = ) means it is a formula; in this case a simple link to a cell. The exclamation mark ( ! ) is just the separator between the sheet name and the cell address.
