Automatically create new column based on pre-defined number

Hi All,

I am wondering if there is any way we can tell excel to automatically generate new column based on pre-defined number.

For example, let say pre-defined number is 3, it generates 3 columns


pre-defined number is 5, it generates 5 columns



and so on.

Hi uqls and welcome to the forum,

This sounds like a VBA or Macro problem to me. Where do you want to generate/add/insert those columns? Could you supply a sample workbook and we can give a better answer.

It does not matter. The column can be anywhere in the excel. Can this be done through s simple excel function?

Hey uqls,

I don't think inserting a column can be done with a function. I think it must be done manually or using a VBA script.

BUT - I've been proven wrong by some of the smart Guru's here on the forum.
