Digitizing (Converting) a picture of graph to excel data

Hello everybody,

I?m wondering if there is any tool in excel or extension that converts a graph or a plot (as an image) to excel data (table or plot)?

I am aware that there are some software and websites that can do that

But, I would like to know if I can achieve that through MS Excel

I really do appreciate your response.

Try this (not easy but ...)
proceed as follows:
- on the sheet insert an Image control
- you associate (Picture property) your image to the control
-as PictureSizeMode choose property 2
-then you assign this code to the image:

-in a cell of column A write "Zero", the next cell leave it blank
-in the cell below write "Max", leave the cell next to it free, the one next to it again (therefore in column C) write the maximum value the graph must reach (I wrote 6)
Finally select the cell where you want to create the values of the points of the graph; I positioned myself in D19.
And then:
-click on the "zero" axis of the graph; the cell next to Zero will be filled in
-click on the maximum height of the graph; I clicked on the vertice up-left
-finally click on the first point of the first series; the corresponding value is loaded into the active cell
-move to the adjacent cell and click on the second value of the serie
-continues horizontally for the other values of the serie
