Hi All,
Please can someone let me know how to create a macro that will refresh all sql connections and then refresh the pivot table after the sql connection refreshes are complete.
Thank you!

First of all, open the properties for each of the queries and uncheck the box that reads, Allow Background refresh. This means that the queries will run sequentially and nothing else happens until each completes.
I suppose you could write a macro if you want, but if things are set up like I indicated above, clicking on Data > Refresh All should do it.
One spreadsheet to rule them all. One spreadsheet to find them. One spreadsheet to bring them all and at corporate, bind them.
A picture is worth a thousand words, but a sample spreadsheet is more likely to be worked on.
What dflak says and also check the box that says Refresh data when opening the file.
