Print individualized reports
I have 30 employees working for me. I have some performance data on each of them that I would like to disseminate to them individually every couple of weeks. The data are in pivot table form. I thought of doing a mail merge type of report, but that did not work out very well with the formatting. I have found nothing really helpful on the web. most sites just say to put the data in a pivot table. But i would like to not post all of this info for all eyes to see.
It sounds like what you will have to do is to copy the pivot tables as values only and send that out.
The way I would set this up is to create a table with the employee names that you want to track along with their email addresses. Then loop through the list of names, set the filter on the pivot table (or maybe even directly in the table that contains the raw data), copy this data as values only to a file, save that file with some name, possibly with employee id and a date stamp and mail that file to the employee.
Without a sample workbook, that's about all I can tell you.
One spreadsheet to rule them all. One spreadsheet to find them. One spreadsheet to bring them all and at corporate, bind them.
A picture is worth a thousand words, but a sample spreadsheet is more likely to be worked on.
