No , still crashes
The sumif formulas across the compleet dataset is too much calculating for excel
The workaround will take some time to first sort the table and the do the formulas.
But it will not crash

Just tested with 1 million records and it worked well: sorting and calculating took my Excel2019 20 seconds.
