I have two data one of items with Category and it's section link to with amount plan and spend
i like to create a dynamic way to view
1) total spend vs plan by all section and category
by YTD
by quarter (Apr to Jun is 1st Q)
by Monthly
2) is there any way to have the dropdown to select and it will auto calculate?

I couldn't see where you are selecting YTD or Quarter???
This is the formula needed for the basic monthly total:
=SUMPRODUCT(($A$25:$A$52=$B9)*INDEX($E$25:$P$52,,MATCH($C$2,$E$21:$P$21,0)))
similar for paid.
