    format two number that are within a maximum of 1.03 of each other (greater to lesser)

    Formatting exact matches is easy.
    What I want to do is format two number that are within a maximum of 1.03 of each other (greater to lesser). Please see the attached spreadsheet.
    If you would kindly provide me with the formula for this, I would be very grateful!

    Administrative Note:

    We would very much like to help you with your query, however the thread title does not really convey what your request is about. Tell us what you are trying to do, not how you think it should be done.

    Please take a moment to amend your thread title. Make sure that the title properly explains your request. Your title should be explicit and not be generic (this includes function names used without an indication of what you are trying to achieve).

    Please see Forum Rule #1 about proper thread titles and adjust accordingly. To edit the thread title, open the original post to edit and then click on Go Advanced (bottom right) to access the area where you can edit your title.

    (Note: this change is not optional. I have done it for you on this occasion.)

    There are no expected results in your workbook, nor can I see any examples where they might fail the requirement. Please provide more realitsic sample data and expected results.

    Just a guess for a CF rule:

    =ABS($A2-$B2)<=1.03

    Thank you! That's really helful.

    However, it was y DIVIDED BY x, rather than minus.

    So thanks to your help, the answer to my question is:

    =ABS($B2/$A2)<=1.03

    I can now alter the 1.03 to suit my parameters.
