    Use drop down list value to change row values else where on sheet

    Hi all,

    I am enclosing an excel file to help show what i am trying to do.

    I have a template that i want some users (co-workers) to fill out. Right now i have "two" templates one for JR and one for SR.
    Someone suggested that i try and make a single template where the user selects JR or SR from drop down list in cell B3.
    Based on this selection different values would be populated in the sheet.........i have tried to highlight the values that would change in light yellow based on selection in cell B3.

    Now, i am not even sure this is worth trying to do depending on how complicated it is. I am not ever sure where to begin to try this.

    Ideally, as i said , i am looking to replace my two templates with a single one. User/coworker would make a selection in cell B3 and then the corresponding items would populate in other parts of the sheet based on the B3 value.

    Thoughts?

    The only awkward bit with Excel 2016 is rows 18 & 19...

    but with a little compromise...

    See sheet "JR SR"

    SR has more rows so instead of trying to deal with the differences in formatting I just left the extra two rows blank and gray with conditional formatting.

    But for the REALLY deluxe version (which removes the internal border between Cells B18 and B19) see the attached workbook.

    Thanks all. i did have a question that i cant seem to figure out how did you all change cells A18,B18, A19 and B19 to the shaded ...i dont see the formula that did this....

    I used the Conditional Formatting feature.

    Hi, i am having trouble with the "cell" borders. I see what you did in the conditional but for some reason i am not able to duplicate this in my actual file. is the order that you do things important?

    never mind i think i figured it out......i wasnt deselecting something i should have.
