Extended Cell Selections

Hi

Disabling extended selections does not work
I select F8 and the extended selection goes off but when I select a cell
multiple cells get selected, I tried restarting computer, saving worksheet
with a different name, closing and opening worksheet, nothing works
Please help, thank you
