    Add In

I am trying to install a custom add provided by a software manufacture. I click on their "Reinstall Excel Add-In" icon but a pop up appears saying "This app can't run on your PC To find a version for your PC check with the software publisher."
The software publisher has suggested finding the add in through Excel, but I am unable to do so as the only adding available come from the store.
I am running Windows 11 through Parallels as I am using a MAC.
Can anyone help me to get this add in installed?

    Re: Add In

What is the add-in? Which version of Excel are you using?

If the manufacturer can't help, then it's not likely we'll be able to, either.

    Re: Add In

Version 2403 (Build17425.20176 Click to Run)

The add in is to Import an Excel Workbook into the soft ware.

    The Manufacturer's instructions are

    Final Note:
After installation, open Microsoft Excel and check if the ‘Add-ins’ Tab is visible.
If not, you will need to re-apply the office customisation for the Excel Add-In and Outlook Add-In.

When I queried it with the software manufacturer they gave advised thusly:
You are correct that the message is coming from the Windows side, you do require the Excel Add-in to be installed for the creation of a Val and also vice versa for exporting from Valesco.

If you have Office 365 dependent on the version it can give you several installations so you could use one within parallels, then in parallels (Windows) run the re-install Add-In:

This will allow you to run Excel inside parallels as needed to do the creation of the Val or Export from a report to Excel.

    Re: Add In

What is the name of the add-in???

Why do you need an add-in to import an Excel workbook into Excel???

Please update your forum profile with your version of Excel (365 v. 2403).

    Re: Add In

The AddIn is "Valesco Excel Add-In".
    According to the manufacturer:
"The Valesco Add-In was created to save you time when importing and exporting between Valesco and Excel
The Valesco Export Add-In function is used to take a Bill of Quantities or Schedule of Works from Excel, find the bills, pages, items and descriptions and format them into a specific file format Valesco can read. This format is known as a .VAL"
