assigning colour to variable

is something like this possible?

varColour = vbBlue
range("A1").font.color = varColour

What type of variable would I use?

Also, I have the following code

Selection.Offset(0, 1) = "your text here"

How could I use the offest command to change the colour of the "your text here" text?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
