    xls files

    Dear sirs,
    I've got Windows XP Home Edition. Can't open files with xls extension in
    microsoft works. I wonder if you could help me.

    ..xls is an excel file which must be opened using Excel or the free excel
    VIEWER from microsoft.

    Hi!

    OpenOffice.org 1.1.2 copes with at least some Excel files, though it has been known to stumble on a big one.

    http://www.openoffice.org/ for a free download of version 1.1.4, I believe.
