Mary,

TJ,
I already did try to customize using File, Page Setup, Options. I do not
see 11x 17 anywhere. Nor do I see a place to input these dimensions.
Could you please give me a full path? Perhaps I'm missing something here.

I'm not sure which vesion of Excel I've got. . . .2000??? No older than '97

letter
legal
A4
A5
B5(JIS)
Envelope #10 Breadthwise
Envelope DL Breadthwise
Canon 4" x 6"
I doublechecked my version. Its 2000.

Like FGM wrote, you may want to check the printer.
I've only got Excel 2003 in front of me, and the when I click the options

The paper size choices listed in the dropdown box are dependant on the selected printer. You may need to adjust your printer's setting to "manual feed" or such to expand paper size options. If you have multiple paper trays, make sure the 11x17 tray is selected, etc. (possible your printer doesn't support this size?)

The older I get, the better I used to be.

You can check your version in the Help Menu.
There should be an About Excel option (the wording is slightly different
depending on the version).
Where exactly are you looking to change the paper size? If it's the Paper
Size Drop-down, perhaps you should look for the Options Button and try
that(it may be called something different-like Properties--in Excel 2000). If
it's not on the Excel 2000 Setup dialog, go to File | Print and look for
Properties.

If I go Page Setup Options Advanced I get the same selections.

The print sizes are a function of the Print Driver, so perhaps updating it
will make a difference.

Ok guys, I've got it. REALLY dumb. This printer doesn't have the capacity
for 11 x 17 (also known as ledger). Last time I used a different printer.
Time for a new brain.
Thanks for your attention.
Been there, done that!

I've had the same issue; my home printer does not support 11x17, though I plan to go to Office Max to print. My workaround was to use the "Microsoft Print to PDF" option (an alternate printer) which DOES support 11 x 17. Hope this helps.
