This is driving me nuts. I have a feeling it's something really simple that I have overlook. I just started using the Macintosh. It's the latest OS X with Office X. I want to delete the contents in a bunch of cells I have highlighted. Just hit delete key and done, right? Nope, it only delete the contents in the first cell I have selected. In fact, it doesn't even look like that first cell's contents are deleted, it looks like it's in "edit" mode in that first cell. The contents are gone in that cell but the cursor is blinking in that cell as if it's waiting for new information to be typed in. Why can't I delete all the highlighted cell's contents??? The only way I have found it to work is if I click on "edit" menu, then "clear", then "all" but this is a pain to do everytime.

The delete key on the keyboard SHOULD work. My PC's excel work fine but not in the Mac !!

Please help.
