Recognizing Data Copied and Pasted from Internet

Whenever I copy and paste dates from the internet I can't get Excel to recognize the info as dates, thus making it impossible to sort by date. It doesn't matter which site I use, I have the problem with all of them.

    http://www.baseball-reference.com/te...e-scores.shtml
    http://www.cbssports.com/mlb/teams/s...e-orioles/2005

Using any of the links above, does anyone know how I can paste those dates and get Excel to sort the date?

    Format column A as 'Text'
    Copy data from internet.
    'Paste special'
    and choose
    'Unicode Text'
    Cell A3 contains: 10/01/00

    =DATE(20&MID(A3,7,2),LEFT(A3,2),MID(A3,4,2))

With this formula in changed in date 1 oct 2000
