    Autosave???

I am trying to get Excel '02 to Autosave to the A: drive. The only thing I see is AutoRecovery. Are these the same things? The computer we used to have was set up to AutoSave every 5 min to the Floppy, but it was an older Excel.

Is there anyway to get '02 to AutoSave to the Floppy?

No, they are not the same things. The AutoSave feature does not store your data in a seperate file, meaning it does not stop any possible corruption. It will only save your work if Excel crashes and AutoSave/Recovery is turned on. And it will not save anything if you click any End Now tasks.

There is an add-in for this though called "AutoSave.xla". Tools --> Add-ins --> AutoSave (check) --> Ok.

A MS KB article was written on this, you may want to have a look .. http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;818721

Although a very good autosave add-in by Jan Karel Pieterse can be found here: http://www.bmsltd.co.uk/mvp

I'm sorry, do not use the MVP link (bottom of my last post to this thread), I forgot that is the old link and has been taken over. Stephen Bullen moved his website, rather than try and get it back. Use this link instead: http://www.bmsltd.ie/MVP/Default.htm

Many, many great (possibly the best) add-ins availlable. Compatability listed also.
