I have formatted each cell with a diagonal line, now I want to enter both a
numerator and a denominator, but I can only enter a numerator. Is there a
way to enable me to enter a denominator?

Format the cell as Fraction.

Hi LB
If you have put in the diagonal line, you will have to type in the
numerator, Press ALT+Enter, about 5 or 6 spaces and then type in the
denominator.
But Bob's post is simpler, just type space numerator, slash, denominator.
eg, space7slash12, will be 7/12
