    Colour Formatting

    Hi
I am trying to set up a training spreadsheet which records the qualification and requalification dates for certain courses, undertaken by trainees.

The requalification date is set 1 year from the qualification date. I would like to set up an "alert" which will automatically engage, 4 weeks prior to the due requalification date. I would like the "alert" to be in the form of colour formatting in the relevant cells.

I have applied conditional formatting using the =today() function and colour formatting however this does not seem to automatically update in line with the calender.

Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

    Hi
    How about:
    condition 1:
Cell value is: Less than: =TODAY()......choose formatting
to show that the requalification date has passed and:
    condition 2:
Cell value is: Less than: =TODAY()+28.....choose formatting
this will show that the requalification date is in less than 28 days
