My boss is running Office xp with SP3, the same as me, but can't open an
excel sheet with a chart in, even though I can. Excel just crashes and send a
message to Microsoft.

First, just guesses.
On the boss's pc:
close excel
clean up windows temp folder
Try opening the troublesome workbook.

close excel
windows start button|Run
excel /safe
File|open (the workbook)
If that works, then visit Chip Pearson's site to see if you can isolate the
problem.

Maybe opening the workbook in another program and saving it there would help
"clean" it up.
Lots of people have had good luck with OpenOffice--when excel couldn't open the
workbook.
