After I have deleted data in a spreadsheet, when i use (ctrl+end) it takes me
back to the same position even though the end of the data is rows and columns
above it?

Hi
one way to solve this is to go to the end of your data (the actual data) and
then from there do control & shift & end and then delete the rows.
now close & save the workbook - when you reopen it the "ending" point should
have been reset.
Cheers

That worked- I didnt think of the save and reopen file.

glad it worked and thanks for the feedback - some versions need the save &
close - others don't - and as i can't remember which do & which don't i
always suggest it!

Just to clarify, DELETE on the Edit menu, not the Del key (which only clears
contents).

Thank you all for your replies. Unfortunately nothing worked. The program wouldn't allow me to delete almost 1.5 million rows and a couple of thousand columns.
Ended up copying the actual spreadsheet cells to a blank sheet, deleting the problems sheet, and then renaming the new sheet to the same as the deleted sheet. Associated formulas and macros seem to keep working. Took the file size from over 19 Meg to about 650 KB.
Thanks again everyone.
