    Combine data in two columns

I have a list of store numbers (1700) in column A and a list of item numbers (15) in column C. I am trying to make a new list that shows the store number in column A and the available part numbers in column B for each store. How can I do this??

How do you know which part numbers from column C are available to each of the 1700 stores in column A? How do you want to display the result?

    More information, please.

Re: Combine data in two columns

I am trying to build a list that has a store number in column A and all of the part numbers in column B. The item numbers are the same for each store. I intend to concatenate them to do a look up off of another book that contains sales data after i get this master list built. I hope that is enough info.

Let me see if I understand you now.

You want A1 to be a store number (e.g. 0001) and B1:B15 a list of available parts
A16 would then be the next store number (0002) and B16:B30 a repeat of the list of parts.... and so on for 1700 stores? (about 25,500 rows?)

You then want to match store number, product number against a sales table?

I'm not sure where concatenation will come in to this. Certainly, as I see your objective, joining the product numbers into a text string would make any kind of a lookup impossible.

Is the Sales Data book set up with sales by store, by item number or both?

Sorry if your request is not sinking in with me...
