Excel.exe has generated errors and will be closed....HELP!

    Hello folks!

I have a workbook that contains forms and VBA code. It is done in Excel 2000.

It works just great - except when it does not. Some people open the workbook up and get the following error:

"Excel.exe has generated errors and will be closed by Windows. You will need to restart the program."

I am trying to determine why this is happening and how to make it stop. The workbook opens just fine on some machines, and not on others. Or, it will open once on a machine and then the next time you open it, the error is generated.

Further, I cannot find the error log that it says it generates.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

Let me try one further explanation of what is happening and maybe someone can help me figure out the issue.

I have a workbook that displays forms when it opens. I had it displaying a splash screen first which stayed up for 5 seconds, then it went away and displayed the main panel of forms which are the input fields for the tool.

In an effort to separate out the issues, I put the second display of forms on a button that is on the worksheet. When I open a new version of Excel, the splash screen displays and goes away, no problemo. But when I click the button to display the second panel of forms, the error occurs.
