Bizarre Side Effect To Hyperlinks

Hi All,
I have just implemented a new 'Switchboard' workbook that purely contains hyperlinks to other files/reports produced on my team. However after the development of this workbook was completed and tested successfully, an intreaguing problem has occurred. Whenever i click on a link it opens the correct file but closes my switchboard file (leaving Excel application open though). This file was specifically created to contain no additional VBA code due to system restrictions for users so i can not understand why the problem is occurring.

Any advice or information would, at this point, be a godsend.

If Excel is opening in Internet Explorer web browser, it could be due to a setting with the browser.

If you goto Tools | Internet Options and select the Advanced Tab and uncheck the option under the heading browsing:-

Re-use Windows for launching shortcuts.
