Getting rid of '

Hi All

A guy at work has sent me a list of figures, and has asked me to do a look up for him to another list. So far all is fine.

However when I do the look up it doesn't want to work! I have found out that this is because the list of figures he sent me all have a ' in front of them, and the data I am doing the lookup against hasn't.


ie. sheet 1 - '439
'324
Sheet 2 - 439
324

But when you can only see the ' in the formula bar, not in the acctual cell itself, I have tried a find a replace, but these doesn't even find them!

Can any one help??

That is strange.
Apostroph is added to make it text rather than number.
Maybe he is challenging you?
I failed to find a solution, but am interested.

Anyone had this problem solved, people?
