How to append to a cell..?

I will try to explain this the best I can.

I need to have the text '/data/images' in every cell in a column. I then need to add a name of a picture to that, for example testing.jpg. So the final result in the cell will be /data/images/testing.jpg.

I have to do this for a couple thousand images. I would like to be able to 'force' the cell to have '/data/images/' already, and when I paste or type into the cell it will append to that.

Any help is greatly appreciated, thank you.

Good morning someonestoleit

There are two ways to do this. Say you have your image names in column A starting at A1. In B1 enter the formula:

="/data/images/"&A1

and copy it to the bottom. You could also use the concatanate function. Put your "/data/images/" in B1,and copy it to the bottom. In C1 put this formula:

=CONCATENATE(B1,A1)

and copy it to the bottom.
