    Cell Validation

    Hi,

My cell validation does not appear to be working when the calculate takes
time. My sheet can take upto 30 seconds to calculate, but when I type a value
into a validated cell, I am not getting a message that the the entry is
    invalid...

I have removed the validation and re-set it up... no luck...

    thoughts?

Never heard of this. It sounds as if you have calculate set to Automatic.
I don't suppose setting it to Manual helps?

    For the validation part.........

Do you have, on the Error Tab, "show error alert when invalid data entered"
    checked?

For the calculation part see Jim's response.

Send it on to me via email, not this group.

Change the AT and DOT for my email address.

For follow up to this post and its resolution.

The DV lists had a great whack of blanks.

Unchecking "Ignore Blanks" resolved the issue of entering invalid data and
    getting no error message.
