Fail to use PULL function !

Hello all,

I can use the INDIRECT function suggested by Mr. Richardeye but I fail to use the PULL function introduced in link:

Steps to use:
1. Copy the PULL function code into the active xls VB editor (Right-click on xls and select "View Program Code") ;

2. In any cell, I use the following command:
=pull("'A:\[0501C01.xls]sheet1!'A1")

I get the error meaning: Current Project Macro is closed and the cell shows "#NAME?" message.

Can anyone help me to use the "PULL" function successfuly ?
