Need Help on conversion

I have downloaded a spreadsheet from my Amex and need to import to my accounting software. The numbers come in excel in a negative and I need to convert to positive prior to importing into my software. Can anyone remmber this math equation or even what its called? Its been a long time since math class.


I would appreciate anyones advise.

Multiply the negative number by -1 and your number will be converted to a positive one.

(negative_number)*(-1) = positive number
