In Excel - a function or operation for "view visible cells"

trying to find the "view visible cells" operation - was in a worksheet on
prior version of excel- but seemd to disappear with new computer using excel
from office 2003

do you mean "select visible cells" ?
edit / goto / special - choose visible cells

not sure what you're asking for - if you're not viewing visible cells,
what are you viewing?
