    Several numbers in same cell

    Hello,

    I need help with a document i have recieved.

    There are several numbers in the same cell, like this:

    1253 x 125 x 1234

    I want to divide these numbers into seperate cells for each one in order to be able to work with the properly. Ofcourse i can do this by hand, but the problem is that there are many cells like this...

    Please help me with this, thanks in advance.

    You can use Data>Text to columns... to handle this task.

    Select the range containing your values

    click Data>Text to columns... and select "Delimited" on Step 1 of the wizard, click Next

    In Step 2, uncheck all Delimiters and check Other and enter x (or X if is a capial X) -- note that the Data preview shows just your numbers in columns! -- click next

    For Step 3, make sure "General" is selected in the Column Data Format and enter your desired destination for your new columns (insert columns, if needed).

    click Finish

    You should now have 3 columns of your numbers.
