Dates are in Row B1:NC1
Incident Type are in Row B2:NC2
I want to able to count the number of incidents in the last 7 and last 30 days
Current equation =COUNTIFS(B1:NC1,">"&TODAY()-7, B2:NC2.NR2)

Are the dates consecutive days, or some other series like weekly for instance?
And are there dates into the future. If so what do you mean by the 'LAST' 7/30 days. The last ones listed or the last counting back from TODAY which would not be the last listed cell.
If the latter and you want the last 7/30 days up until today then

change the -7 to -30 for the last 30 days
If you just want the last 7/30 days listed then
Formula:Please Login or Register to view this content.
change the -6 & 7 to -29 & 30 for the last 30 days
