    Help

    Hi,
I'm new to this forum and don't know excel terminology that well, but here is what I need help with...

    Name Hours Name Hours2
    Alex 2 Alex 3
    John 3 Jeff 5
    Peter 4 Robert 6
    Tony 5 Tony 7

Is there any way I can consolidate this data into just one name column, an hours column, and an hours2 column with all of the same data? So basically the end result would be...

    Name Hours Hours2
    Alex 2 3
    Jeff 0 5
    John 3 0
    Peter 4 0
    Robert 0 6
    Tony 5 7

Thanks for the help in advance. I really appreciate it.

You have not said if your data is in multiple columns or is all in one column

If in one column you will need to use the Text to Column function

    Select the column
    Select Data Menu
    Select Text To Columns
    Select Delimited Option
    Select Next Button
    Remove Tick From Tab Chechbox
    Plack Tick in Space Checkbox
    Seleck Next button
    Select Finish button

    Select 2nd column with names
    Select Edit Menu
    Select Delete

My data is currently in multiple columns. Name Col, Hours Col, Name Col 2, and Hours Col 2.

Is it possible to consolidate this data into having only one Name Col, an Hours Col, and an Hours Col 2?
