need to work out if a monday is the 1st 2nd 3rd or 4th monday of a month

I have a spread sheet that needs to highlight (change colour) a cell for a user (ie with conditional formatting) that represents the current working day of the week, based on the current date.
ie today is the 11 th April 2005 - therefore it is the Second Monday of the month. - I need to highlight the cell Mon2.

When the date goes to 27 April 2005 I need to highlight the cell Wed4.

and if it is May 2 2005 then I need to highlight the cell Mon1 etc.

I have figured how to do this crudely using IF statements based on the Current Date DATE() and end of Month -EOMONTH and date difference DATEDIF. however I have to type in the constants each month that allow me to point to the specific day in the month ie 2nd monday Mon2 is 11the day in april but Mon2 is the 9th day in May.

Hope this makes sense - hope someone can help...

no worries - scrapped that plan and used TODA() and date formats.
removed blank weekends from data before plotting
