    Auto Sum and skipping cells

Does anyone know a way that I can get a sum at the bottom of a sheet that will not include cells maybe in another color or something?

For example in column A I have the following:

    120,000
    560,000
    252,000
    Total: 372,000

I do not want to include 560,000 in my sum at the bottom of the sheet, but I need it there for other purposes. Is there an easy way to exclude certain cells based on a condition. I have about 1,000 numbers in A so doing the =A1+A2 all the way down won't work! Thanks,
    Cindy

    Good evening Cindy

I have an add is available that has a function that will sum only cells that are x in colour - is that an acceptable solution? It could actually be used to add only cells that have no background colour and omit the ones that do.

It is available free of charge to anyone who contacts me on [email protected] with their e-mail address.
