Red face Spreadsheet Different on another puter

    Hi All!

I was wondering how to fix this. I made several spreadsheets on my computer and the columns and rows are fine, all numbers show clearly and these files are saved to our server. When my boss goes to the server to see these spreadsheets, the columns now show xxxxxxxx for numbers indicating that the columns need to be enlarged to show the numbers correctly. Why does it show fine on my end but end up different when he opens it??

    Thanks,
    Gracious

My guess is that your boss's computer is set to a different (higher) screen resolution than yours. Are you running a 800x600 display and your boss at 1024x768? This will make your settings too big for him to display without changing the zoom setting. (something like 125% should work).

Thank you for your reply, I checked his puter and his resolution is the same as mine, both are at 800X600 using 16bit. Any other ideas?

Are all columns displaying at the default width on the boss's computer?

I would test make some changes on your bosses computer. Then send it to your computer and see how that looks. See how much extra space you need to add for him too read your files. But I agree, he should be able to read your files and my suggestion is only because I can't see any logical reason. Try and see if he's the only one how has this problem, or if there are others with the same computer spec.

The widths are the same. I also checked the toolbar percentage box and it is the same.

I just cannot figure out why this is happening, please let me know what else I can check.
    Thank you!
