using data from a database (BEYOND FILTERING)

Im making a worksheet to calcualte the overall nutritional makeup of a meal by adding up the individual ingredients nutritional information. As ill be using it every day i see no point in having to continually reenter ingredients names and their nutrient values when i think i can make a simple excel database to store various foods and their values. I know its possible to filter such databases in excel but what i really want is to either

    1) be able to select from a drop down list the ingredients ive entered in the database when im adding them to my MEAL worksheet

    or

2)Simply have the worksheet autocomple the ingredients name and the nutrient columns as i type the ingerdients name in.

    Is this possible?

so on one worksheet i have a list of foods with their nutritional information

    Ingredient / Cal / Carb / Prot / Fat
    ----------------------------------------------
    Chicken 150 5 30 2
    Rice 100 25 15 5

On another worksheet i create meals for the day and it calculates the calories carbs, prot etc per meal and for the day.

    MEAL1

    Ingredient / ServingSize / Cal / Carb / Prot / Fat
Chicken 130g AC AC AC AC
Rice 50g AC AC AC AC

AC = my desired effect of its auto. calculating these values.

i also want in the ingredient fields of the Meal worksheet to easily enter ingredients from the database. If its possible either a dropdown list containing all the ingredients names in the database on the other worksheet OR when i start typing chicken in it will recognise it from the database and offer to autofill the name and the other values (CARBS PROT FAT).
