Batch removal of empty cells in Excel

Hi folks

I am importing data from the EPRIME (psych experimentation) software.
These files log reaction times and responses, etc. The problem is that
the clolumns contain some cells with no information and are blank, e.g.


Resp1.ACC ... repeated for 48 columns (variables)
<empty>
3
<empty>
<empty>
4
<empty>
0
<empty>
<empty>
<empty>
5
<empty>
0 ....etc, in 36 rows

How can I remove these empty cells, without having to do it manually?

You want to remove the empty cells in all the columns and have each non-blank
cell slide up to the cell on the previous row?

Select your 48 columns
Edit|Goto|Special
click on blanks
then ok
Edit|delete
And choose shift cells up.
