vlookup is not a macro is it?

I have a sheet and it's a vlookup, I do not remember recording
anything, but howcome everytime I open the vlookup sheet, it has the
dialog box with button "disable macro" "enable macro".

    Is this a bug?

Also I've protected a sheet, usually when you protect a sheet it also
hides the formula, isn't it? if so, why then some formulas are indeed
protected (can't see it) while some formulas are still visible?

    Is this a bug?

Also, howcome every time I open my excel program, the personal.xls
    opens immediately?

    Is this a bug?

thanks for all your answers and patience.

You have inadnertantly created a macro and possibly removed it. The module
remains and Excel thinks you still have the macro. You must remove the
    module.

See Debra Dalgeleish's site for more info on this.

When you protect a sheet you must first select cells you wish to have the
    formula hidden then Format>Cells>Protection>Hidden.

Personal.xls will open whenever you start Excel. To keep it open and hidden
you must, when it is open, go to Window>Hide. Select Personal.xls and Hide.
When asked to save changes, click "Yes". It will open hidden but available
    for use.

None of the above are bugs. Just the way Exce3l operates.
