    How do you set the cell vertical alignment to bottom?

    I've just upgraded to Office 2002 and I do not like the way the vertical
    alignment is set up. It uses 'center' as its format and I would like
    'bottom' to be the default setting. Do you know how to change this?

    Format-->Cells-->Alignment tab.

    You might want to look at Format=>Styles. Change the alignment option under
    the Normal Style.
