Visual Basics in Excel

    Visual Basics in Excel

    I went to the website cpearson.com and got the information for the syntax and the formula to sum numbers in different colors on a worksheet
    now my problem is where do i put the visual basic part of the works so the formula can call on it
    can you tell i have no idea but great hopes!!!

    Put it in a standard code module in the workbook. In the VB IDE (Alt-F11),
    insert a new module (Insert>Module).

    You would install the User Defined Function in a Standard Module
    for more information on modules see

    For information on installing the code see
    Getting Started with Macros and User Defined Functions

    Would suggest you install the Function(s) in your
    personal.xls file.
