Pasting on Filtered Data Sheets without pasting onto hidden cells

How do you paste onto filtered data and prevent hidden cells from receiveing
    the data when you paste.

Can you sort the unfiltered data by some key that groups the rows you want
    together?

Then you could paste and sort back to the original order.

There's nothing built into excel that does what you ask.
