A piece of a button remains...

A piece of a button remains...

I am new to macros and adding buttons on a worksheet to perform various
    tasks.

It seems that buttons (added from the Forms toolbar) float above the
cells. So far, whenever I delete columns or rows that run under a
button, the button remains there intact. After getting used to this, I
deleted some rows on one sheet that run under a button and the portion
of the button was zapped away with the rows! What is driving me craze
is that the top part (or fragment) of the button is still there. It is
now a useless sliver of a button and it is in the way. It cannot be
moved, clicked on, dragged, or deleted!

Others at my workplace have seen the remaining button fragment and say
"Who cares?! It's so small." But it's eating me up!! :oP

    Thanks much for any info.

    Hi!

    Try this:

    Hit function key F5
    Special>Objects>OK

This will select ALL the objects on the sheet.

You should be able to click on the offending button. Click on the button
    then hit ESC (Escape).

    Then goto Edit>Clear>All

That should get rid of it.

go along the top edge of the first row and when the mouse cursor
becomes a hand right click on the mouse and choose cut continue doing
this until the result doesn't happen anymore.do the same along the
    column side.
Now protect your sheet and rome around you cells if the cursor becomes
a hand still, it means you still have a hidden mouse, unprotect your
sheet and perform the same ritual until the hand doesn't show up any
    more,
if you had hundreds of buttons on your sheet and then just deleted the
rows or columns that they were in, I may be able to find you a vba
program that will find those buttons and delete them or else you should
just copy and pastr the new range on to a new sheet and then delete the
    old sheet entirely
