    How can I create a label over a small chart?

    am trying toi create a "sold out" label to go across a small chart. Is that
    possible in Excel?

    You could try a Command Button, Caption = "Sold Out", background = transparent.

    via, View, Toolbars, Control Toolbox, click the first icon (Design Mode), select a Command Button and draw the button size on the worksheet, then rightmouse and Properties to set Caption and BackStyle.

    Use a text box (which you get from the drawing toolbar). Type and format your text. Size the text box and position it over your chart. Click on the edge of the text box and format it with no lines and no fill.
