Can someone please tell me how to set a default in excel to make the date
current evey time i open a file.
=TODAY() typed in any cell will return the current date. If the file is
saved and re-opened tomorrow, it will show tomorrow's date.......

Use the TODAY() function
Eg: in A1: =TODAY()
A1 will always return the current date
