last 3 digits default to zero on enter

    last 3 digits default to zero on enter

    On entering a 19 digit number in cells in column AD on enter or tab it keep returning a 0 for the last 3 digits. Format cells appears to be same settings as other cells.
    suggestions pls.

    Excel only recognizes numbers up to 15 digits.

    You have to enter the number string as TEXT.

    Format the cell(s) as TEXT then enter the number string.
