    Weird Formula Problem

I have a worksheet with some basic entries and formulas in Excel 2003SP2.
Column A has some currency listed. In cell B1 I enter the formula =A1*.20
in order to get 20% of A1. The result appears fine. Then I drag the
cell-formula down over the rest of column B. However, instead of showing
the correct values, it simply repeats the result of B1. If I click on one
of the cells, it shows the proper formula (A2*.20, A3*.20, etc.), but it
won't show the correct result. I tried selecting the original formula and
selecting a target cell and choosing Paste Special and selecting just the
formula out of the window that appears, but still the incorrect result shows
up. What is really weird is that while I have this worksheet open, any
other sheet that I open won't correctly calculate any formulas. I've opened
the sheet on other PCs with the same results. All are virus/malware free
and have their respective OSes and versions of Excel up to date. Has anyone
heard of this before? I've tried Google with little luck.

Try Tools | Options; open Calculation tab and check if calculations are set
    to automatic (sounds like manual)

As to why your other sheets reacted in a similar manner ... and how to
possibly avoid this in the future, check out this old thread:
