Formula will not update when you data is entred

    Formula will not update when you data is entred

    Month on month i will be updating a spreedsheet with new data, this is the first time for me to try and automate some of it.

    however, when i use the following formula it works, but once dropping in new data the formula gives me #value back

    please can you help, ive tried the formatting etc all is the same.

    Hi garypacha,

    When you are within this spreadsheet, do you see the word "calculate" down at the bottom left hand corner of your spreadsheet?

    If so, the automatic calculation is set to manual.
    Go to File > Options > Fomulas > and check automatic under Calculation Options.
    I have had this a few times, not too sure why this happens, but it could be your problem!!
